So I just recently aquired a skill, loading flyover imagery into AutoCAD. The steps are as follows:
- Select Load Image from one of the options in the top ribbon
- Select Raster Image Reference
- Choose the refernce file in your flyover image destination folder
- choose the *.tif file (make sure the *.tfw world file, geographic location)
- Specify on-screen
- Select somewhere on the screen
- Type “appload” (only have to run once if you’re loading multiple flyover tiles).
- Browse to the folder that conains the Geographic Refencing Imaging Bundle “georefimg”
- *.vlx extension – this is an AutoCAD script
- type “georefimg”
- Select the image.
The GeoRefImg translates the picture to the correct coordinate system and loads it successfully.
I’ll post a screencast video of it later.
