I will be preparing to take the PE exam this coming fall, October of 2015. I have a lot of work to do. I have kept at my job for nearly 4 years now working as a Water Management Engineer at a mine site. I have garnered experience through this job. Now I will be working through the Book “Practice Problems for the Mechanical Engineering PE Exam” by Michael Lindberg, PE.
Why am I posting this on a blog? Great question. I hope that it help brings accountability to try to get a post a day of solving one problem and posting it on here. I will take a break on Sundays. One article will be posted on all the other days of the week. I want to continue this work until I take the exam.
There are 500 practice problems. I obviously be doing more than one problem a day. I won’t post every single problem on here. It will be in a different form due to copyright laws. I will take all of the steps to solve the problem. Then I’ll have the answer but I won’t give it to you.
I started this site a couple of years ago but have never utilized it. My first step forward is writing articles on these problems then some articles in general for the life and work of an engineer. I have stumbled on this because each time I start an article I end up turning into a perfectionist and never get something out. So imperfect as it may be, here is my first article. I intend to use this as a business card website to help further my career. Thank you for reading!
